a new centre light filled atrium, which provides a dramatic articulation
between the protected structures
and the contemporary open plan

The atrium is traversed by a series of bridges which accommodate the social and interactive spaces of the building while providing strong active links between the new building and the refurbished Georgian Buildings.
The fabric of the new build is constructed with a robust pallet of materials including board marked exposed concrete, oak joinery and mild steel balustrades and sliding screens which compliment the simplicity of the rubble and brick walls, timber joinery and lime render of the Georgian Buildings which have been carefully refurbished and integrated
into the development.
